Which brake fluid?

Hi all,

Do you guys know what kind of brake fluid I should be using on a 97 S600? The user manual and alldata both mention MB DOT4 but I tried to buy from the online shop I saw 4 variations (attached), any ideas?

I would use the regular ATE stuff.

Dot 4+ is the correct fluid.

The low viscosity Dot 4 would be the best.

There is only one Mercedes brake fluid and none of those on your page is it.

Any of the ones on that page would work....but the low viscosity would be best for the ABS system, it gives better performance.

There are actually 2 fluids...MBUSA brake fluid & the rest of the world.
Dot 4+ from Germany would be my choice.

When I was racing I ran ATE type 200 which is the same as their super blue w/o color!

MBUSA buys fluid here from "cci intec" & they even had a recall on their product at 1 time.

I've been using the DOT4 synthetic from Valvoline in both of my cars (300E with ABS and 300SD without)....and it works great in both. ABS function was noticeably improved with new brake fluid.
