A small tip: Removing instrument cluster.
I found a trick to remove instrument cluster on W124.
Today I removed instrument cluster on my 92 400E, I don't have those special factory tools, I just removed the A/C vent at center of the dash, then the right edge of the instrument cluster exposed, I just grabbed the edge by my hand and pulled it out. It took me 10 minutes to do the job, I guess if I also remove the A/C vent on the left, I should be able to pull it by both hands, it will make it even easier. When dealer sold this 400E to me, ABS was not working, those smart guys removed the ABS warning bulb in the instrument cluster, I fixed the ABS and a bunch of other problems by just replacing fuse "F1" in the computer box, so it's time to put the that bulb back.
