winter's coming! Car starters?
Anyone have older Benzes with Remoe Car starters? I'm thinking about putting one in the SEL but am wondering on it's practicality with older technology. It starts every time, any time, even this past winter, without winterizing it it started in -30 weather..

I think remote starters are pointless....all it does is encourage idling the car extra long, wearing out the engine and wasting fuel....

I feel that jumping in a cold car and taking off is harder than letting it get little warm (not totally warm) Transmission failure is common in vehicles that are driven cold in winter...I can't afford any more transmission failure

this is also a gas engine, so it's going to warm up alot (and I was shocked) faster than the Diesels
