75K mile service?
 

Ok. So I buy this '95 E320 wagon with 75K on the clock. It's time for the "75K service". I gotta tell ya - NEVER have I followed the maintenance schedule on ANY car/truck and have never had problems. I tend to drive high mileage vehicles and tend to do most service work myself. Here's my question:

What is done in this service interval? What of it is only performed by a 'trained' technician? On the inside of my door jamb (driver's) there is a plaque telling about the airbag servicing and the date (9/09) it is due. I am assuming that is something that is for the 'trained' technician? Also, IF I were to take it to say an Indy shop about what would a service interval like this cost?

Just trying to decide how important it is to me to keep that little maintenance book 'stamped' by some 'authorized' mechanic shop. Don't get me wrong, I take care of my cars meticuously BUT I have been the hands that have done most of the time! Thanks for your 'guidance' on this matter! :D

Your manual set should include a service book which outlines the services at all intervals.

Beside that, there are fluids such as brake fluid and coolant that should be replaced regardless of mileage, by age/date.
