anyone interested in converting older standard key to new flip open one??

I'm wondering if this is possible. I called the dealer and they said no way, but i'm sure someone has done it. I've compared the two keys, my 83 300SD's and an older flip open style one and the keys are the exact same size. I know the newest keys are quite a bit smaller then the old old keys but they do have a flip open ky fobber for my sized key. Any thoughts on this? i'd pay quite a bit to have a flip oppen fobber, i just think they are neat! thanks
