Raised back on a 450SLC

Saw a picture of a 450SLC at http://www.dhc.net/~pmhack/mercedes/450slc76.htm and it appears that the back end is raised up a little bit. I kind of like how it looks.

How do you do that? And does it affect the performance adversely?
