Trouble starting...
my 1993 300E today. Parked since yesterday afternoon. Went to start a while ago, and it would not start, turned over fine, but stumbled/stuttered. Pressed throttle to the floor, it started and ran. Tried again, stumbled/stuttered. Pressed throttle again, started fine and ran well. Just tried again, started perfectly. Given the original symptoms, is a component getting ready to fail, if so what one could it be. Also, last night temp went down to 27/28 degrees, yet today temp was in low 60's. This car needs to be trustworthy for my daughter and wife to drive. Many thanks! Dennis

I wonder if MB has interprets a WOT at start-up as a "clear flood" signal like GM cars do...

Just went to start the car, NO problem, started normally, but the air temp was 63/64 degrees. I think I'll keep the car in my hands for a couple of days and see if it happens again. In the mean time, if anyone has some thoughts, please share them. Dennis

Sounds like a problem with either the cold-start system or the temp sensor.
