Recurring check engine light, W210 6 cyl--
97 E320, about 60k. Runs really well with no problems, then for some mysterious reason will run poorly for a short period of time, illuminating check light, then will straighten itself out. Have (I thought) cleared all fault codes, but re-appears. Suggestions? Thanks---

Mine did the same a while ago at 56kmi.
Turned out to be the mass airflow sensor. Not cheap and it fails very frequently, thanks to another common MB designing marvel. |
What code comes up?? P0 170 would be air mass sensor OR fuel pressure problem!

What is the proceedure for checking the W210 codes? (nm)

I'm having a mini nervous breakdown at the moment,,, but
as I recall the code was for intermittent misfire. Coil?
