cabin filter location - 1996 E230
 

hi. can anyone please advise where i can locate the cabin filters in my 1996 mercedes E230 as there is a dirty sock/musty smell coming from the inlet air system or cabin air. the smell disappears when the air conditioner is turned on.

You also have a pair of charcoal filters (100K miles) beneath the under dash panel on the same side.
