Underhood Padding

I'm replacing mine while I have my car away for the winter to save money while I'm at school.
I've ripped off the torn parts. It seems to be glued to the hood with some kind of adhesive. Any suggestions on how to remove it safely and effectively?

Thanks guys,
Mike McKinney

There are plenty of adhesive removers on the market, smells like citric acid with a "Fresh Lemony Scent", completely safe for finish. Visit local hardware store as Ace is the Place.

Recent post on door trim r&r had a similar reference to a specfic product, I think.

Yes, it is glued.

You might have to tear away what you can get at, and that scrap the others away with much thinner and a friendly plastic scrapper.

Hey - to think that this product is not available here and we have to do so much of "dirty" work at getting the glued bits and pieces of!

:)

Thank you guys for the advice.
I will check out Canadian Tire for the 3M product.
I definitely need to purchase a digital camera.
Then I'll be able to post pics of my other half.
Hopefully my father will get a digital camera and I can just use it.

I've wanted a picture of my car under my signature for the longest time........

Thanks again guys,

Mike McKinney
