93 190 2.3 with clicking SRS module
Hello, Ive read a several forums about this but nothing answers my questions. My SRS box intermittently goes on clicking sprees. I notice it most when I decelerate. It sounds like a coffee perculator. I read one link about low battery voltage but it was never validated and my regulator seems fine, output-wise. Just to be certain: the SRS box in a 93 190 is in the center of the car behind the radio etc. in the console. If this is not correct please let me know. Thanks, Andy

Has no one else encountered this?

The only clicking noise I've heard on my '93 190E, is the switch-over valve behind the glove box.

Yeah I don't think what you're hearing is an 'SRS box' whatever that means. The noise you're hearing involves the climate control. Mine does same, in both cars.

clicking SRS box
Thanks for the replies. The SRS (supplimental restraint system) box is dead center on the trans hump behind the radio. Mine clicks badly and you can hold your hand on it and feel it. I've read that on other years/models, the SRS box is under the floor mat on the passenger side. I read on this forum that mine is in the center as I describe it. I'm hoping that I read wrong and that it is my climate control box but so far no one seems sure about it.
