Unhappy 02 S430 Air suspension drop down at night when is cold??

Hi,
I would appreciate any help regarding this issue.
I own 02 S430 and at night the rear of the car drop down. The car is with air suspension and when I start the car in the morning for around 2 min is reading low suspension. The display flashing red till the car rise up. There is a switch on a dash that I can press and rise the car even faster.
I've notice this last winter but after that when the weather improved everything was perfect. The whole spring/ summer/ fall the car never dropped down. For the last 4/5 days the overnight temp is around 12/15F and in the morning the car is slammed to the ground.
It is a vacuum/ air issue...any suggestions?
Thanks

Most likely a air leak at that strut.

Is not just one side, it is the whole rear, both sides.
Is there a way for me to check?

Get some Snoop and put on/around the connector at the top of the struts and see if it makes bubbles.

Hi there! I have a 2000 S430 with exactly the same problem. Last year, when temp gets to around 0 degree F, both rears would sit on the ground. When temp goes back to around 5 degree F, the problem would be gone. This year, when temp is around 8 degree F, both rear sinks.

I just replaced the suspension valve by the right front wheelwell. That did not fix the problem.

So I ordered 2 rebuilt rear struts today.

If anyone can help... between the suspension valve and each of the rear strut... is there only a continuous line between them? Or is there fittings that can leak?

Anyhow, I am so tired of this problem... every winter my Mercedes would not be driveable for a couple of weeks because of this problem...

Hopefully the rebuilt struts will solve the problem. I will get the struts next wed and I will let you know if that solves the problem. You might just need 2 rebuilt rear struts!

Wish me luck!

what happened when you replaced with remans?

Did the cold seather bother you still. It would seem odd that a leak would not get worse but only be active in the summer

Either an internal leak in the valve block OR external leak at the lines OR struts.
