300E Wiring harness question, is there a vin range of affected cars?

Also, was it 93 or 94 that they switched to the 3.2L. Is it the 3.2L that is notorious for failed head gaskets or both the 3.2L and earlier 3.0L

The wiring harness problem is associated with the M104 engine and not really with the M103.

Both engines can have headgasket problems.
