1987 300E Sunroof Wont Open

Alright heres the situation, my sunroof dosn't open it makes noise...and the motor is fine, everytime i try to open/fix it the one side of it goes down and it gets stuck and starts leaking when it rains. I went to my mechanic and he wants $500, im guessing hes going to just align it, it may include a new rubber seal, but $500

. If I really need to bring it in I will, but it just seems like a waste of money.

If anyone has any suggestions please post
