W124 Ignition Buzzer
My Ignition buzzer won't turn off.
I just completed numerous overhauls to this engine, so I am somewhat stuck. Now when the engine is running, and doors are closed, the buzzer still will not stop. Does anyone know what this might indicate? Maybe not enough tension on my accessory belt for the voltage regulator? Thanks and Happy Holidays! 1992 300CE Sportline |

The buzzer has nothing to do with the engine repair.

Buzzer
Well I realize that the buzzer is to alarm you to put on your seatbelt...
But it used to turn off when the door was closed. Is there any thing else that it "notifies" other than the seatbelt thing? |

Have you checked the doorswitch? Does your domelight stay on?
I think there's a wire that plugs into the ignition housing that controls the key-in-ignition buzzer. If you want to stop it, you might try pulling that wire (maybe red and brown, two pin, squarish). |
