Ebay door seals stink...

Purchased a door seal for the front driver's side from eBay to save a few dollars...it's a horrible fit. Purchased one from Fastlane so I get to embark on the entire process once again. Does anyone have any experience with the door seals from Fastlane?

Question: I read on the forum that there is a lot of gluing and such but there was not any glue to remove from the factory seal and the replacement seal was just wedged into the channel around the door. Am I mistaken?
