If I had a dollar for every CL ad I call on for interior TD parts, only to find out its a sedan...I'd be rich. Frustrating. Sometimes I play a game and just ask, "how much do you want for the tailgate trim, SLS parts, etc.?" I wonder if I should point out their error, but never actually do.

The "T" designation only lasted for two models, i.e. W123 and W124 and even at that it wasn't used in the last years of the W124.

It was still less formally used longer, however, as, for example, I have a German brochure for the W210 wagons wherein the phrase "T-modelle" is used.

The proper designation, of course is "S," i.e. S123, S124, etc. A VMI (vehicle master inquiry) at a Mercedes dealer will identify a W210 wagon as an E320S.
