just wanted to tell you that

I drove one once. It was a greymarket car obviously. I was a decent car, and I would have bought it, except it had been repainted with enamel. The workmanship was good, but the paint was thick and would peel off like pie crust. You could tell that from where it had already been nicked. I had a worn out engined '77 240D at the time, and considered buying it to rob the drivetrain for my 240D, but about that same time I found ol' Silver.

I had one of those, a euro ex taxi I loved that car, just throw a water pump and a couple of inline fuel filters in the trunk with minimum tools and go anywhere!
