300CE Warning Light !
 

I drive a 300CE and yesterday afternoon as I drove home + - 20 miles, the orange water heat light? (the one on the left of the radiator sign - the water can) came on. The same thing happened as drove to work today!

I left the car in the garage to cool down whereafter I checked the water... it was fine. The water temperature gauge also showed normal (just slightly above 80) as I drove to work.

The oil was also fine and the oil gauge was also normal. It was on 3.

There are no abnormalities as I drive except for this warning light being on. This has happened once before, however I topped up the water and that was the end of that...

If it is an electrical problem on the dash - how would I be able to easily identify it?

might be a loose connection or faulty water level sensor or it could be the dreaded wiring harness, I would definately keep an eye on the water level, sometimes justa little less water than normal can set it off. Top it up witht he car running and see if that helps...
