So I pulled out the idle control valve, but how do I test if it is faulty? When I looked inside it, I saw that the little valve mechanism was loosely moving around. I could shake the valve and it would slide open and closed. Is that supposed to happen, or is it supposed to stay closed? What other ways are there for me to test it?
