Can you use any other kind of Hydraulic fluid other that Merc. for the leveling suspension?

You don't have to buy the fluid from a MB dealer. The fluid is made by Febi. It is available through Fastlane I believe, or any of the other on-line MB parts places.

Less than half the dealer price here at Parts shop or Fastlane, (I forget which I used for that one), even with the shipping. Same fluid. I gave up on the dealer for this and many other things a long time ago! I couldn't afford to drive otherwise!
The on line catalog lets you shop and price compare without much trouble at all, for lots of things. The best addition to this site to date, IMHO. Even in comparison to the other on line merchants, the ones here are cheaper. Also compare between the two, (Parts shop and Fastlane) as the prices are different on some things. My $.02 worth.
