Caps & rotors & wires ooo-my
 
Priced out plug wires and caps and rotors all Bosch, for the 400E $361.65 OUCH!!! Is this about right or should I keep shopping!

Pretty close, the caps are about $80 ea, rotors $45, and the wires are expensive also

Sure you need wire sets? Do caps/rotors/plugs then see how you are running.

I too would wait on the wires. The OEM wires are high quality and usually last a long time. You will spend enough on the cap and rotor!

I'd just clean and gap my plugs and see what difference that makes. Then order parts as necessary. Older motors get oil fouled plugs from the worn valve guides.

Assuming you use a dremel with a wire brush to clean the plugs, you can do the same thing to the cap. My cap's resistance from contact to plug connector was over 10K ohms before I cleaned them off - then they were the spec 1100 ohms.

The rotor does wear down, though - cleaning it will just increase the gap.
