W124 hood with star on top
Am helping a friend fix his W124 car. The now crumped nose has the star on the hood rather than the grill.
Never saw that before. Can a hood w/o star be substituted (since that's what I've found for him)? As the car still has to be pulled back into the right shape, are the any other things that make this hood unique besides the grill being missing a star? Thx -CTH |

He has a '94/'95 and the hood/grille you're installing is from an earlier car. The headlamps from the earlier car will need to go on with the earlier hood and grille.

CTH, you need a hood from a 1994 or 1995 124 car. Degrading the headlights is foolish, and may cost more than finding a hood that matches the original. If you find a hood in the same color it may be possible to avoid any paintwork.
