91 W124 how do you activate Cruise control
I just bought a 1991 300E W124 with Cruise Control. How do I active it? If I pull or push forward or reverse on the stalk nothing happens. Everything in the car works with the exception of the rear head rests. Thanks

Push the stalk up toward the windshield to initiate cruise. Push up again to accelerate, push down to decelerate, and push back toward the instrument cluster to disengage cruise. If you can find an owner's manual for the car it would help.

The headrests malfunction was a common problem often caused by the little plastic pinion breaking. Search the forum on removing the seat back panel - not difficult. You can repair it with duct tape or buy a replacement for about $30.
