anyone own a 1989 300 E?
 

I have a guy at work that owns a 1989 300 E and he does not know what the climate control buttons do and he does not know how to turn on the headlight wipers. If someone could tell me or help me on what each one does that would be awesome. Thanks

On my W124 I think the headlight wipers came on automatically if I squirted windshield cleaner while the headlights were on.

I believe the headlight wipers are actuated the same as the windscreen wiper. Here are climate control buttons....

OK.here it is....it's an automatic climate control system..primitave yet German....it doesn't work worth ****....it (the CCS) turns the fan on and off whenever it (the CCS) determines that's what you need....that's that one....now as far as the stupid headlamp wipers go..they only work under the following conditions......A: Main Windshield Wiper On B: Headlights On
C: Engaging windshield fluid switch ...

CCU works great if the car is in proper working condition.

Headlamp wiper/washer system works great also. With headlamps on, push the wiper stalk in to wash windshield, windshield wipe/wash will cycle and the headlamp wash/wipe will cycle, wipers don't need to be turned on.
