Normal charges for 15K Maintenance
 

How much do dealers normally charge for 15K service. I have 105,000 on my 96 E320.

I also would like to find out actually the hours (per labor manual) to perform all the service items below. I looked at the service manual and it looks like:

check/adjust parking brakes
Check brake pads/discs
check front axle/balljoint/ steering play
lubricate hood hinges and throttle linkage
check all fluid levels
check hoses (coolant system)
check spark plugs/ replace if necessary
check condition of poly V belt
Oil Change

Is changing the water pump/thermostat recommended at this stage? Should I use Mobil 1 synthetic oil or is regular oil OK?

I have done all of these to my 92 400E by myself.

Without a hoist, I had to jack up my car using a hydraulic jack, I can do all these in 2 hours. Replacing all 8 spark plugs on my 400E took me another hour.

For a pro with professional equipment, he may cut the time in half.

Go with Mobil-1, I have Mobil-1 in all of my cars, I used Mobil-1 engine oil and ATF as well. I put in Mobil-1 when my 400E was 9 year old with 200K km, it doesn't leak at all.
