300TE Electrical Problem: Please help

Just bought this car as a project. Great body, but had flood damage. Interior is cleaned now, engine runs great. However, the dash lights, automatic door locks, rear defrost, cruise control, dome light, and rear interior lights all don't work. Changed all the fuses to brand new ones. The dash gauges work fine, it''s just the lights.
Any ideas on a place to start?

Well start by probing the connections with a DMM to see if there is voltage at all. If there is no voltage, grab a wiring diagram and figure out which connection under the fuse box it goes to.

any relay under water is gone

control unit for cruse gone

bulbs foot conections and wiring conections will be the issue for most of it

get a can of eletronics cleaner and a brass brush and a test light see the location the current stops and repair

most flood cars have salvage titles and with out bills for what you did in my state they wont issue a usable title - jz

I have can only offer the advise that your problem may regard this unit called the 'Convenience Control Unit'. I lost my power seats, windows, windshield wiper(s) and sunroof all of a sudden. Just overnight...I swore it was some Master Control Unit...turned out to be fuse #2 which wasn't clear in the owners manual nor via the fuse box cover chart..point is..in my pursuit I looked at this CCU which is located UNDER the floor of the rear driver side passenger. I am not saying under the rear seat, this is under the floor itself...very strange...if your car was flooded to the extent you mention that be something to look at....
