Catalytic converter/pipe replacement
I will have too replace the driver side catalytic converter/pipe assembly on my '01 E-320 4-Matic wagon. I'm looking at Racepages.com, CATCO (cat4297) for the parts. Has anyone purchase the needed parts and done this themselves? Thanks, Dennis

You have a hoist? Do you have a hack saw/ metal saw? Welding torch? Yes you can do it...

You can get Catco from Phil here. However, I would ask him for a different brand which he can get also I think. I got a Catco for my car and it was made SLIGHTLY wrong so it didn't fit right, also the welds looked worse than the first welds I ever did in my life when I didn't know how to weld. They looked like total cra*. It was the most horrid POS I ever saw. Looked completely hideous. I don't know how they could ship such a thing. You have been warned.

mpolli, Thanks for the warning. Could you give me a little more direction to Phil, please! Thanks Dennis

At the top of the screen, click on "Buy Parts". Then his e-mail and phone number will come up. There is even a picture of him around here somewhere. There is also another guy working there now who's name escapes me at the moment.

mpolli, many thanks! Dennis
