Any opinion on C-Class Manual by Bentley?
|
To get familiar with all the terms and the work.. Then after you should get the original.
|
I have never seen it. I have the Haynes which covers the same years but does not include the 6 cyl or Kompressor.

The BMW community uses the Bentley manuals to great benefit, they're probably better than the Haynes or Chilton garbage. Back it up with a factory shop manual and you'll still need the forum and any DIY articles you can find.

I think it is unfair to lump Haynes and Chilton in the same category. Chilton are complete garbage. Haynes are pretty good. The Bentley might be much better, I don't know.

I have had Bentley books for most of my cars vw's mini THEY ARE GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
|
I use them for BMWs. Nice books, not the best but they sure explain quite a bit.

I have used The Bentley Manuals and would strongly recommend them, far superior to the generic written Haynes manual. It would be Best to use them along with the factory manual .mak

I just got this about a month ago. I would say it is OK. For the systems that is does have in it, the detail is pretty good. The thing is thick, but half of it is wiring diagrams. It does not have stuff like motor mount replacement, and there are some inaccuracies for my '98 C280. Due to the dearth of repair documentation for my car, this is probably about the best out there.
