95 E320 Broken Upper Intake

I was tring to take my upper intake off to clean the EGR line but ended up breaking one of the small nipples on the bottom of the intake. So I took the manifold off and and connected to two hoses put it all back together. I got it started but it is in bad shape and missing a lot. I put the injectors back in but I don't know what is wrong. Please help. Thank you

I didn't really damage the wiring harness but I have noticed that the wire covering is cracked and broken everywhere. How much and how difficult? Could it be worth it on a car with 245,000 miles and no reverse? Thank you to everyone for their help

I did my harness a few years ago. Cost about 700 usd and about 2 hours work. Whether its worth it is up to you. I can almost guaranty moving that much caused your issues, even though its not obvious.

It is possible to find a newer/used wire harneses on ebay taken from a car that already went through the replacment but is now being parted out. Ask for the "Fertigungsdatum" (aka the "production" date) FYI - There may be two dates on the harness part number tag. You want the newest production date you can find. I found one for $400 that was manufactured in 2000 (I have an '94 E320).

Your next thing to consider is whether the car needs the throttle repaired or replaced (they were made with the same biodegradeable wiring as the wire harness). This can go from a DIY rewire project, to a $300 rebuild at BBA Reman, all the way up to paying to have Beckmann's reman the potentiometer, which for me was more than the cost of a new throttle. Again, you may find one on Ebay that is out of a '95 or already rebuilt, etc.

Note that there was a production breakpoint in mid-MY'95 and thus a different harness in late '95. Also, if you don't have ASR, you have a cable throttle, much less of a problem for that part of the wire harness (affects only the Cruise Control / throttle actuator).
