Brake Bleeding 400E HELP

Tried to Vac bleed the 400E today! Did not seem to do the job! After I bled the back the petal felt good but after I bled the front and started the car the pedal when right to the floor? is there some trick to bleedeing cars with ASR ABS ? I remember reading something a while back?

Bleeding Brakes

"Power Bleeder" is preferred...(Do a Search, you can make one from a sprayer)
BECAUSE,you will not risk running out of Brake Fluid.
AND it's a one man 10 minute job!

Two chambers to the Master Cylinder Reservoir ...The Back Chamber FILLS by
overflow from the Filled Front Chamber.'Really hard to see except with a light
shining on the Reservoir and viewed from the Passenger side!

I suspect that you ran out of fluid, hence the "Pedal to the Floor" symptom.

Here are the Official Instructions:

Here is a link you can make your own bleeder from Home Depot.
You can get cap from junk yard.It worked great on my E320 with ASR.
Hope this helps.

I believe the FSM lists some tips for bleeding the ASR portion of the ABS system.

UPDATE, did the old school pedal pump seem to do the job got alot more green swamp water out of the calipers and ABS/ASR! Think I might try the home depot power bleeder though looks like fun!!! Can anyone recommmend a good brake pad!

Good brake pads? I bet the dealer has them. ;)

you need 2 people

to bleed brakes properly...these machines don't work...it's so simple with 2 people...that's my experience...just do it old fashioned way...braking principles have changed that much over many years....really haven't

I refuse to buy from the dealer, they are worst than the MOB!!!
