I don't like my seats
I don't like my seats...They look great, with no scratches or signs of wear..this MB tex holds up great!!!...I don't like them though because the seat bottoms are kind of soft after 180,000 miles...
I was looking at EPC, and it seems you can buy the internal cushion and replace it..... anyone have any experience in this area, or is it that the springs are weak, and new seats are needed? thanks, |
search "pool noodle" here and on the diesel forum.

An upholsterer can rebuild your driver's seat bottom for no more than a couple hundred; it's a simple job that might be worth it to you.

awesome, pool noodles it is until i get some money to get new bottoms ......
Thanks, |
On many of our cars, the seat bottoms in the front can be swapped, provided that there aren't side specific motors/controls. Passenger seat bottoms are generally less "dead" than the driver's.

did this on my SL, worked great |
I'll to have to look and see what shape springs i have, as they might be different than yours, but that is a great and cheap idea...thanks !!!

oh yea, pool noodles may be your best bet, have done that too!
Just make sure the springs that are there are not broken and are still attached to the frame, both can be fixed. let us know |
