M117 cam woodruff keys
I have a multipart question about the woodruff keys on the drivers camshaft.
I am swapping cams from a .983 engine into my .986, and I wonder what offset I should use for the swap. Is it a preference thing in so far as what you want your timing to be advanced to, or can I put a straight key and gain a happy medium? or does the key configuration stay with engine or camshaft? (sense?) I'll leave you guys to think..I'm gonna go wash my car...:D |

Every engine is different.
If the head OR block has been machined OR trued the cam timing should be check & adjusted by using an off-set key. |
