i installed a new electrohydraulic actuator on my 89 300ce,with no change, there is still popping and extreme loss of power and hesitation, but when i unplugg it,it runs fine, just has a surging idle.

So, an input to the ECU is causing the ECU to lean out the mixture.

Most likely source is the air-flow position sensor.

I understand that the sensor in question is no longer available. What does one do?

Tiny, I would love to know where to get them.

Bosch part # 437 224 035

I have not found a source and certainly the Houston area dealers
say they are no longer available.

Please share with us your source.
