Anyone using the new Thru-Ratchets?
Is anyone using the new-ish through ratchets. I just picked up the Kobalt brand set from Lowes (only store I've seen selling them so far) and I think they're going to come in handy. The bolt actually goes through the socket and the ratchet and gives you little to no depth limitation. Innovative!
Here's what I'm talking about: http://toolmonger.com/2008/04/16/kobalts-thru-ratchet-gets-over-long-bolts/ It hasn't saved me any problems yet but I can see it being a headache saver in the future. Curious if anyone else is using/has an opinion on these ratchets?

Yes, through ratchet socket sets can be very handy for special oddball jobs. Otherwise normal sockets & ratchets work fine 99.9% of the time.
Example: Through ratchets were the only socket/ratchet able to remove/install the sixteen spark plugs on our dual ignition '28-34 Stutz Vertical Eight engine. A very specific and not very common use......... Cheers, bobf
