W126 ac parts advice/ what to replace
 

83 380 SEL 108k miles, car is in great shape AC was working great. Compressor died, started making a serious noise and I turned off the ac. Since then I replaced the ac compressor and took it to a shop to have a r 12 charge. Wasted 120.00 on r 12 and the guy says something is blocked. Doesn't know what,,, he is not a mer mechanic but is a good mechanic and has done good ac work for me before.

I know there is a dryer, evap valve,, condensor, and a evap core. I am not really wanting to replace everything if I can help it,,, cash is an issure right now but I don't want to keep throwing away money on r 12. I do want to get it right and can replace it all if I have to,, I just don't want to wast any money, and I know it was working really well before this incident.

Any advice is really,,, really appreciated.
