A bit off topic, need help with my Grand Cherokee. Teves Calipers. Normally the new pads come with a packet of lube to grease the pins that the caliper rides on. Didn't get any with the new pads. Does anybody know what kind of grease I should be looking for? Stopped at one chain store on the way home yesterday, they didn't have a clue.

If your working with larger pads/calipers I'd get 2 per wheel instead of one. It's pretty cheap. (~$1.50)

I've used high temp bearing grease before without problems. They should have tubes of the "proper" stuff at the big box parts stores. Use GREASE, I wouldn't use the gummy/rubbery stuff.
Just put a film of it on the flat sliding areas, don't goober it all up.
Real key to having quiet brakes is to make sure you get them bedded in right away after the brake job, go out and really nail them hard a couple times til the "rumbling" sensation is gone.

Thanks for the replys. Finally had time to google it last night. The recommendation is to use a synthetic silicon grease made for the job. As said it is available at the store on this site or most auto box stores.
