problem with interior heat
 

hi.. i need some help please. i have a 1993 mercedes 300se and my interior heat wont work for nothing. i change the monovalve steel no heat. the blower motor works good. im very confused i do remember flushing my radiator about 4 months ago. do you guys think the flush could had something to do with my heat problem or what else should i check for next. and again thank you very much for your time and help.

Push-button Heater control panel...... or clogged heater core? The flush shouldn't have damaged anything, unless you refilled with orange juice or somesuch. :)

I would say check thermostat or check if only one tube of the two tubes going to the firewall for the heater core is hot (when engine had reached normal operating temperature) then heater core might be plugged

ok.. thanks guys for the help i will try flushing the heater core today and check the push button controls.

I would think its slowing vacuum pods or the sampling motor is bad.

If I can answer for him; there is an interior temp sensor up by the front dome light. What he is calling the sampling motor is a tiny suction fan that draws interior air through this interior temp sensor, to make sure you are getting a good sample of the interior air temp at the sensor. Technically it's called the aspirator, but it's all semantics. I don't think there is a chance in heck that that's your problem though, not "poor heat".
If you know where the duovalves are for the heater, try disconnecting them, you should get full heat then. NOT that this would mean the duovalves are your problem, it would just mean that the car "can" put out good heat.
One thing I wonder is if your coolant got completely filled after the flush, as low coolant level will definitely cause a no-heat situation.

Check voltage at the monovalve preferably with an analog meter so you can see pulses. If no pulses, then suspect the CCU but also check the coil on the monovalve and make sure its ok.
