Crouse control "pumping"
Hi all...
I have an MB 560SEC-88 and the Crouse control is "pumping" when i go downhill.... any ideas how to fix it???? |
Thanks to all the cruise control problems with MB's of all models for many years, your local dealer has a specialized diagnostic tool for finding cruise problems.
Most dealers either charge little or nothing for this service, and it's quick and simple. Call your dealer... |
Most likely the cc amplifier is bad. Try lubricating the throttle linkage first.

John:
The cruise tester has been around as long as the cruise system. It just tests the power and ground, all the switch contacts, the brake pedal switch, the speed sensor, and allows the motor to be run. If everything works on the car, it's the amplifier. Gilly |
