New clutch disc thickness for 190e 2.3-16v?
I have my trans down to change out the front seal... I'm trying to assess if what I'm looking at is the original clutch or a recent replacement. Car has 150k, no idea if the PO replaced it.
Anybody know the original disc thickness? I suppose I could change it anyways but the clutch parts for this car are fairly spendy. James |

MB # 009-250-75-03 shows a 3.8-4.0mm "lining" thickness.

Thanks for the response! Where did you find that spec? I have the mercedes manual for my car, but it didn't seem to include anything about the clutch or transmission.
Looks like my lining thickness is about 3.2mm... which means it is fairly unworn by that spec. The Flywheel and pressure plate wear surfaces look pretty worn though. Maybe the PO threw a new disc in there but didn't change out the pressure plate. James |
