sun roof

I typed in the search function...no info came up...so...how does one get the auto function to open the sun roof? Pop up also does not work. It did before I changed the temp sensor in the overhead light panel. Sun roof opens when I hold the button...but it should open/close with one touch..yes? 140...1992 500 SEL.
