This stuff OK or should I ditch it and stick with Zerex?

New radiator in...No leaks @ operating temperature and pressure at reservoir cap almost right away! Never did that before, old pump must have been really weak since it took an entire drive before pressure at the cap was established. Will give her a nice hot drive in a bit and see what happens.

A couple of weeks ago i went to pick up some parts at the dealer. i asked one of the parts guys, how much do they charge for MB Antifreeze, he told me that they dont carry it, and that their guys in the service station use Castrol Antifreeze, "the green kind." my 300E and i do not like my dealer at all!

good luck with the fix.

Its all the same MB or not. Use whatever is cheaper.

Not so.
Make sure you get the MB spec of Zerox GO5 equivalent. For longevity of the radiator neck, water pump seals and rubber protection. This coolant was specifically formulated to deal with the complex different materials within the Cooling systems of the period.

Mercedes engines and seals are made of the same cast iron, steel, aluminum, rubber and plastics as every other car on the road. These cars are not that special. There is absolutely no reason why a coolant that works in every other car on the road doesn't work in a Mercedes. The more important point is to flush the system every 2 years.

Also if you want to improve the cooling capacity of your system use a 1/3 coolant, 2/3 distilled water.
