1995 S600 Limp Mode After Battery Reset

I am looking at 1995 S600 that is in limp mode. The owner claims that after a battery change, all the computers were not reset and this caused the car to go into limp mode.Is this possible and what are the ways to check whether the car is actually in limp mode because of this and is there a way to get it out of limp mode.

You/owner had better hope that one of the two Throttles actuators have not failed. Someone better pull some codes.

If it's really in LH, and all is "ok", then restarting the car should return it to normal operation. But I bet you already did that. . . . and still the same.

Time for codes to be read . . .

You will have to clear that code - but I am suspicious the PO is making that statement. That's like another common statement Air conditioning works fine just needs some freon

Is this one white with grey interior, bottom front of driver's seat torn up, AMG wheels?

The one I looked at in northern Delaware had PA tags, expired inspection, and was in need of a battery. The salesman answered questions about the suspension being down by carefully explaining a "sleep mode" when the car was not being driven:rolleyes:. It was hard not to laugh. He did laugh at my offer though :)
