w203 c320 WONT START, NO INPUT FROM THE SENSORS, TEMP SHOWS 0 DEGREES, CANT DIAGNOSE
hi all, my name's bobby, and im an activist in the indonesian c class club. last sunday we had a touring convoy from jakarta to bandung, about 200 miles, 45 c classes from the w202 and w203 model participated in it. it was a beautiful day. i'll try to post some pics later.
anyway on the journey back, there was a news on the radio that one of our w203 was having a problem on the side of the motor way, te car wont start.
here is how it happened according to the driver of the 2003 w203 C320
- the car was cruising at 80 mph, everything was fine, no warning light, or any abnormalities whatsoever.
- suddenly, on the dash display, the driver read an array of warnings, from bas, esc, engine check, etc, which was displayed on the dash display consecutively. among those warnings that he saw, the most peculiar one was the coolant temp gauge, it showed 0 degrees at the time, when ambient temperature, outside was close to 35 Celcius.
- the driver , concerned with the warnings -while noticing nothing irregular in the running of the car- pulled the car to the side, and turned it of. since then the car has never restarted again. it has been 4 days now. and the guys at the shop that he took the car to, is still bewildered by this.
- at the shop: the techinican tried to plug in the obd communication port, but he got nothing from the diagnostics tool. its like there are no power at all coming in and out of the ECU.
if there's anyone out there that can share some knowledge about this sort of problem , especially on w203's please let us know. any help would be greatly appreciated
regards,
Bobby
