Okay, I gotcha. It is a short thick rubber tube, PN 104 141 09 90. I remember that I ruined mine before I realized there is a second clamp on the bottom. It's likely stuck onto the ETA and will need to be worked loose before you can remove it.

I actually made an error in the original post. It's actually a 1995 E320. Nevertheless the check engine light was, I cleared the codes and now I only get 10 blinks. Before I cleared the codes there were 5 different codes. I believe this indicates that there is a problem with the MAF. I was viewing a few sites, but I need help with this. Is the mass air flow meter and or sensor the same part?
I'm going to attempt to clean it tomorrow morning and see what happens.

Mercedes calls it an Air Mass Meter (AMM). Same thing.
I forget how I removed the ETA. Once you dig into it it should be apparent. A mirror in the toolbox can be your friend.

Well I visited my local pick-N-pull. Pulled the MAF sensor from a '93. I cleaned it well with some MAF cleaner. Also cleaned the trottle body assembly and ICV. Car runs like new....Thanks guys.
