Can you folks give me a heads up on this car?

As many of you know, i learned the hard way when I purchased my 560SL. I didn't know the pitfalls of the Headgasket, Valve Guides and seals issues surrounding the SL model. I was fortunate because God protects dummies like me.

I don't want to press my luck this time and would like to get this car checked out! What should I look for?

Timing chain? Headgaskets? Transmission? Front or Rear end parts? Hi Hi maintenance?

Can I get the general scoop?

Thanks to all in advance! This Board has made me a believer. I read every post as best I can and I can honestly say that you people have taught me a great deal!

By the way this is my 560 before Zaino! I'll get you all one after Zaino in the Spring. A Big Big difference!

Tom,

Same engine and transmission more or less as in your SL so you know what to expect. Besides the obvious and typical things, have the ACC and rear suspension checked out by a knowledgable tech and you should be fine.
