valve tork
 

i have a 94 e420 i goning to changing the valve cover gasket i need to what do i tork the valve cover domn to or do i just tight them down:)

torque for valve covers on a M119 engine is 9Nm (approx 6.3 ft lbs)

Replace the copper washers under the bolts too!!

Actually, they are allens(SHCS). Not all the same size either. Look up from the starter and you can see if the back part of the new cover gasket sealed correctly.
I'd go buy them from MB on these..
