Motor Mounds 103 engine
Does it take a stubby ratchet to get to the top bolt of a 103 drivers motor mount?
Did the passenger side, but the driver's side seems difficult to reach and crack. I know I did this a few years ago...but can't seem to maneuver now |
use a short rachet wrench and then bust it loose with a very long prybar/screwdriver into the open end of the wrench.

I had a very difficult time with the drivers side also. What finally worked for me was to detach the throttle linkage and use a long 3/8 extension through one of the openings in the manifold. I placed the socket on the motor mount nut and the plugged the 3/8 extension onto the socket

I found the easiest way to do it was to take off the drivers side tire jack the car up high and crawl in the wheel well and put a box end wrench in around the left side"blindly" and crank it off!!!!!!!!!! Only way that worked for me

What is a motor mound? :D

I will probably try a combination of all of these....
I did this about 3-4 years ago.... but now at the age of 53...i just don't have the flexibility or arm strength thanks, guys... |
