Difference between early and late 124 front control arms?
I have a new set of late 124 control arms, no longer have the '94s or '95.
Does anyone know what changed and if I can use these on my '87? I know that the ball-joint assembly is welded in the late cars, but nothing else really about them. Since I would like to replace the ball-joint boots anyway on the '87 I'd like to just install new arm assemblies "while I'm in there". |
You can fit bigger front calipers with the later style since the ball joint does not stick out as far. As you said though, non-replaceable - No other difference other than that.

Thanks, I was hoping that the geometry is the same, and I am looking at '94/'95 4-puck calipers so that all works, already have plenty of wheel clearance.
Another weekend project! |
