91 300se exterior temp probe location
 

I have reviewed previous threads on this probe. All very useful. However, where is the probe located on this model MB.

Tell me what you think. My temp gauge always reads -36F, except when I go through an auto car wash. Then it will range from -5F to -36F until it dries out. Then it will stay at -36F again. Does this sound like a probe problem??

The -36deg is the reading you get with a shorted sensor.
The sensor should be bolted to the front bumper around the front license tag.
